Post-Trip Notes

"Someday Travel" did it again! A great group of travelers took on Iceland! We walked on lava fields, behind waterfalls, heard the crashing of enormous waves, saw glaciers, black sand beaches and spent an afternoon in the Blue Lagoon. WOW! We did it all! In between we enjoyed delicious meals of lamb (they have 1 and a half million) and fish (tender cod). We even tried Greenland Shark (which is a delicacy that smells). Some of us played cards late into the night and made new friendships. We layered in waterproof pants and jackets, every day. We did see the sun on occasion! We even saw the Northern Lights standing under the stars in an isolated dark area.

Our guide, Will, introduced us to the geological environment of Iceland and to the customs, culture, and music. The Viking descendants are a proud, strong group of people and though they are small (400,000) they have embraced their land of the midnight sun and darkness. "Someday Travel" made a "Someday dream come true" again!
