Post-Trip Notes

In May 2019, we spent 3 glorious days in Lisbon and even got to 'enjoy' 3 days in the 99’s. We toured Lisbon’s colorful downtown neighborhoods of the Barrio, Alto, Alfama and the Baixa. Included in the trip were visits to Sao Jorge Castle, Belen Tower and Jeronimos Monastgery with a fantastic soulful Fado performance and dinner to end our stay.

Traveling to Faro we made stops in Evora, Beja and Lagos. A memorable stop was to “The end of the World”, St. Vincent’s at the Promotory of Sagres. We then flew to Barceloa for our final 3 nights visiting the Picasso Museum and the Barcelona Cathedral.

Our visit to the Sagrada Familia Church was memorable and was designed by Antoni Gaudi. We also visited the delightful Park Guell. We enjoyed two ½ days of free time in Lisbon and an entire day In Barcelona.
